This proposal is to add a GeoPandas-compatible distributed geospatial analytics
library built on Apache Sedona. Inspired by the Pandas-on-Spark API, the goal
is to enable users to work with large geospatial datasets using familiar
GeoPandas syntax while benefiting from Sedona’s scalable spatial capabilities.
