Error changing manifest while bundle is deployed

I'm getting the following error trying to list installed bundles after tweaking
the manifest file of already deployed bundles using vi:
ERROR CommandLineExecutionFailed: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Invalid
BundleContext.
I'm tweaking my hand-made bundles in the deploy directory to make everything
happy and any time I edit the manifest file inside the jar, I have to restart
SMX kernel.
