Hi Rene, sounds like who ever you were talking to was mis-informed. IBM Notes 9 and IBM Connections 4 are both using Shindig to provide an implementation of OpenSocial. For the most part, you can take any OpenSocial gadget and render them in either of those containers. If you have specific questions regarding either product you can email me directly. Thanks.
