Before we make any changes, can we make sure we have tests that demonstrate the
current behavior, along with any changes that such patches might introduce? We
have several layers of URL-to-resource mappings in Sling, it's sometimes hard
to get the overview, and any changes might introduce backwards compatibility
issues.
As a starting point, we do have some vanity paths tests at [1].
