To summarize, that code is now ready at SLING-3959 and I have added links to the spec and tests to that issue. The discussion has shown that while the Sling community looks like a good place to develop Sightly at the moment, we must strive to allow it to evolve on its own if needed, and also make sure Sling stays welcoming to any rendering tool, which is one of its strengths. Unless someone objects, I'll start the vote to accept the donation tomorrow. -Bertrand
