 Still the same issue that the contained 
/plugins/org.apache.sling.ide.eclipse-ui_1.2.0.jar is in fact the core module.
The md5 for the downloaded zip is 2ffdab4588a047d493c78e5bce8e7f55.
Am I looking at the right thing?
