I don't think it's useful. I know it is related to the "master/slave is a bad concept" discussion but I fail to see how "master" by itself is a problem. There's many places and industries where the term "master" is used and where it has *nothing* to do with slavery or other bad things. Are we going to change "jack of all trades, master of none"? Audio mastering? Tennis Masters? Master's Degree? I don't think so and changing the well-established-which-has-nothing-to-do-with-bad-things "master" branch name is, IMHO, a waste of time. -Bertrand
