Some time ago Mark Miller whipped up a refactoring of SolrCloud ZK code
to make it perform REALLY fast.
I haven't heard anything about this code in a while now.
Is it in a state where we can polish it up, test it extensively, fix
bugs, and get it committed soon? If not, is there any knowledge about
much time and effort would be required?
I know almost nothing about SolrCloud code. I have tried a couple of
times to look at it and educate myself, but I have found the code
difficult to follow. If anyone has any pointers about which classes I
should investigate and in what order, I would appreciate that
information. I would really like to be useful in the effort I just
described. Currently I am not useful.
