: Subject: Re: Value of the Solr Blog
My biggest complaint about the Solr Blog, is that it doesn't really *feel*
like a blog -- it's just a list pages with a single sentence summary for
each page.
The pages have no author info, not tags/categories, ... there are "dates"
for each of those posts, but those only appear on the main blog.html page
-- not even on the individual blog entry pages.
Heck: these blog pages ("posts") don't even appear on the "all" Atom feed
for the site, let alone is there any specific Atom/RSS feed for the "Blog"
If a Blog doesn't have a feed, is it really a Blog?
: On the other hand, perhaps the new-ish Solr LinkedIn group[1] (now public
: and we've taken it over) should be *that*, and our "blog" becomes a true
: blog? As long as an ecosystem feed exists, I'm not sure how much
: demand/need there is for a true Solr/project sponsored blog.

I'm not sure how LinkedIn defines "public" but it appears that unless you
have a LinkedIn account (and are already logged in) that URL won't do
anything for you (except redirect to a login form)
