Would this be really another category of a "post" https://solr.apache.org/posts.html ? I could see doing this and additionally linking to it from elsewhere in the site to make these "case studies" more prominent.
I suppose any one of us could basically look at someone else's conference/meetup presentation and basically turn it into a "case study" post, provided it has enough information about running Solr to fit that label. Meaning, if we know of a Solr deployment and can source information about it publicly, we don't need permission or to require a representative to write the "case study".
