Also, as mentioned earlier, see some of other related tickets which would require something like this anyway (bug 4911, bug 5025, etc.) I don't know how much complexity would be added since we already have the code to allow parents and children to talk via a back channel. Anyway, it was more of something to keep in mind than anything else.
