------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006-08-16 18:46 ------- (In reply to comment #3) > Please be cautious how many points you reduce for each of these. > > We've already reset VOUCHED to zero points on our company's system after > finding > a few pieces of spam that got in due to VOUCHED's point reductions. To clarify, "VOUCHED" should probably never have been used, as on its own it is probably one of the *least* useful metrics. Without something else, like the "COI" bit, it means very little (however combined with other datapoints it can be very powerful). So using "VOUCHED" alone was never a good indicator of spaminess or lack thereof. You are now looking at some of the following codes, which even on their own are VERY *strong* indicators of "not spam": 127.3.100.10 (means "any mailing list mail coming from this IP address is confirmed (double) opt-in") 127.3.100.100 (means "the only email which comes from this IP address is mailing list email, and that mailing list email is entirely confirmed (double) opt-in") 127.3.100.200 (means "the only email which comes from this IP address is one-to-one or transactional email. No bulk email is sent from this IP address") The following are examples of senders whose email will elicit these responses upon an IADB lookup First, here are examples of senders whose mail gets a 127.3.100.200 response (the only email coming from the IP address is one-to-one or transactional; no bulk at all): http://www.eppointmentsplus.com/ http://www.wondermill.com/ http://www.getvendors.com/ So an email lookup for email coming from any of these guys' listed IP addresses will give the 127.3.100.200 code, meaning it's one to one, or otherwise transactional email, and not bulk at all. Some examples of fully COI lists whose mail will elicit a 127.3.100.10 or 127.3.100.100 response: http://www.yourmarriagefitness.com/l.html [sign up right there at upper right] http://www.bound4life.com/ [sign up right at the top on the left] http://ask-leo.com/ [sign up on upper right] http://www.theinternetpatrol.com/ :-) [sign up right at the top on the right] Thanks! We're excited about having our codes used like this - it's the way we intended - in fact that's why Craig (Hughes) worked so hard with us to develop just this structure - so that programs like SA could take full advantage of it!
