Or an alternative that just came to mind:
Is this perhaps the time for us to switch from svn to git?
We already have the git mirror of svn that Infra set up. We would have
to deal with all scripts that interact with the svn repo. Maybe finally
split rules into a separate git repo. So it would be some work. But now
that 4.0.0 is out perhaps it is the best time to do that work?
