Jarek Jarcec Cecho commented on SQOOP-637:
------------------------------------------
Hi Vidhya,
would you mind sharing with us entire Sqoop command line? Based on your last
comment, I'm not entirely sure that this is a sqoop error. It seems to me as a
usual shell variable resolution that needs to be escaped if you want to pass
the dolar sign to the application itself.

> When a table name contains the symbol $ , sqoop does not identify the part of
> the name written after the $ sign . This happens for MYSQL and Oracle tables.
> Not sure whether this is an issue with other databases. What are the
> alternatives other than renaming the structured db's table name.
