Hi Irah, I think the script does not support mac currently (according to https://github.com/thilinapiy/puppetinstall/blob/master/puppetinstall#L444). I think you can add mac support if needed, but you will have to change certain commands to support mac. For the time being I think it's best to use some IaaS instance (EC2, Openstack) to setup puppet master.
