We can have a generic image as cartridge. For such an image, skip the #14 of the guide. Advantage: You do not need to maintain separate images for different cartridges. Disadvantage: It will take 10-15 minutes to start up the cartridge instance at the run time. Because it has to install all the software required at the run time.
