So, I'm going to knuckle down and do whatever we need to do to get 1.2.1 ready to cut this week.

In the meantime, I'm wondering if we want to just bite the bullet and move the minimum to servlet 2.3 for the Struts 1.3.x series?

I have been thinking this for a long time. Folks will still have the
1.2.X release series.

It may be possible for 1.3 struts to remain backwards compatable, but to
start experimenting with
servlet 2.3 features. I had thought about taking a poll, but now think
better of that.

I believe we should start moving forward. Perhaps we can adopt
Bugzilla's and Linux scheme
of even/odd build numbers. Even is stable production releases and odd is
development builds. The development
builds would give us CVS space to start experimenting with whats been on
paper. If we find out that
making Struts 1.4 (The stable release) backward compatable based on what
is learned with Struts 1.3 development build
then we scratch 1.4 and go right to 2.0 (which is by the way an even
build number)

It may be that a full blown Jerico would be struts 3.0, but we have to
start somewhere.
