As long as we release regularly, then I would favor having the website and docs reflect the nightly build.
During the 1.1 death-march, we broke with that tradition briefly, but only because it was taking so long to get to the next stable build. Having the latest and greatest up on the web makes it much easier to have conversations about where we are and where we are going. Keeping the stable build on the web, creates a maintenance burden, and having done it, I wouldn't recommend it as the status quo. -Ted.
