So is this the end of line for the 1.2 branch? One thing that I admire the Spring Framework team for is their desire and willingness to backport *minor* enhancements from the upcoming 2.0 release into the 1.2 branch. Because I find their level of support admirable, I wonder how many commiters here would be committed (no pun intended!) to follow a similar path by applying minor 1.3 enhancements back into 1.2? Who knows, maybe we will have a Struts 1.2.12 one day if this is wanted.
One thing which I found inspiring in Ted's emails (see the user list) is the willingness not to evolve without being a revolutionary. I think 1.3 will be a great product (let's hope it goes GA soon but only after 1.2.9), and I would like the minor things to move backwards as well. Is anyone else interested in such an idea?
