I happen to use Google Groups for a software library I maintain, and I hate it. The spam filters used by Groups are horribly aggressive, and not configurable at all. You can't even turn them off. Sometimes even my messages (I am the owner of the group) are caught in the Groups spam filter. Furthermore, it often takes days for Groups to send me an email regarding flagged posts, which is unacceptable. I'm currently looking to switch to a different "support forum" service.
