I investigated existing cloud data platforms and found that compute and storage are commonly treated as separate resources. Compute can be selected independently, while storage is configured separately. This aligns with Design 2, where the CU is warehouse-agnostic. It keeps compute and storage independent. Based on the discussion and the investigation, I think we can move forward with Design 2.
