Andrew de Andrade commented on THRIFT-2724:
-------------------------------------------

Once the patches I have outstanding are applied, I'll take care of cleaning up
all the code in lib/nodejs. The reason for this is that cleaning up the
javascript code and applying linters is going to render a lot of patches to be
stale (i.e. they will have to be re-rolled or applied manually).

> it would be nice to have some basic coding standards for all langs used by
> thrift, especially those that do not come with 'built-in' standards.
> I'm suggesting some simple, short guidelines, just to help contributors
> prepare good patch
> preferably: new doc in docs folder, linked from doc/contributing.md
