Hi everyone, I want to advise that the master branch has been restored to a version of 4.0.0-SNAPSHOT and code freeze is now lifted.

I’ve done some additional testing and made some small changes and I’m now happy to resume the release process. If there are no objections, I’d like to suggest that we resume code freeze today, which would set us up to post the vote thread on January 14th. I can volunteer as release manager for this. There are 2 outstanding PRs under review which I believe can be merged for this milestone within the next few days: Promote gremlin-lang as default over gremlin-groovy: https://github.com/apache/tinkerpop/pull/2966 TINKERPOP-3124 Added custom MessageSizeEstimator to cover Frame: https://github.com/apache/tinkerpop/pull/2964 Docs updates, test changes, and minor bug fixes are still permitted during code freeze as usual. One final detail I wanted to call attention to is the recent thread about renaming milestone releases to beta’s: https://lists.apache.org/thread/osqg3qto7bm3hyjofk9dy3hwx73kxhom. This upcoming release should adopt whichever name receives consensus in that thread. If there are no objections, I will assume a lazy consensus in favour of proceeding with the release. There is some additional testing I would like to complete with the new drivers prior to the release and there are still some lingering references to bytecode and websockets which I would like to weed out of the docs. I’d like to put the release on hold and give ourselves some more time. Please let me know if anyone disagrees with extending the milestone schedule out a bit. It looks like we have a few minor PRs open as well, which I think can be reviewed and merged if needed during this time. Cheers, Yang On 2024/11/22 23:43:10 Yang Xia wrote: > Thanks Cole!
