Is the lag you refer to the lag of loading the class twice vs. once, in the case of the .jsp being outdated and its class not already loaded? As I understand it, if either the .jsp is not outdated, or the class is already loaded, there would be no extra lag. Is that correct? I think I might be missing something, or perhaps Tomcat works differently from Websphere.
