FYI: Support for Tomcat 9.0 was added to WTP 3.8 for Eclipse Neon last weekend.
I can add 8.5 support, but it would be best if it could be added in March or April. If it's delayed beyond that, it might have to move to the first maintenance release that comes out in late September. I'll try to keep an eye on this.
