            Bug ID: 69832
Summary: Session-timeout is not being honoured when posting to
                    j_security_check
           Product: Tomcat 9
           Version: 9.0.98
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Catalina
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: -----

I have a form page the posts to j_security_check in order to log a user in.

In version 9.0.98 the server throws a 408 if I wait more that 5 minutes before
hitting the submit button after having accessed the page. I have set
session-timeout to 30 minutes so a 408 should not be thrown unless I wait more
that 30 minutes before submitting.

This worked fine in version 9.0.52.

In the changelog I see that in version 9.0.84 something changed in relation to
the handling of 408s.

Can you please help?
