If it helps I have an antora setup ([1]) to generate another doc site with most of these features - think only the day/night thing is missing, it uses tags to manage versions - overridable by branches.
Side note: when we did the new site we decided to not merge with the old one cause too much stuff was outdated and was causing issues, did you plan to clean it now it has been merged?
