Seems, that "application/json" support via JAX-RS is broken for 8.0.7 [1]. We should fix this in 8.0.8 asap otherwise 8.0.7 is unusable for us.
Basically, it is the same issue our unit tests experience in "openejb- cxf-rs" [2].
