Hi Ming, I have a fix for the hive failure coming in tomorrow. And JDBC failures have been diagnosed. Will forward the details to you separately and perhaps you can capture them in a JIRA or add to JIRA-2704. Thanks Sandhya

I will check with others for other two issues: -- JDBC test failure -- Hive test failure thanks, Ming -----Original Message----- From: Anoop Sharma [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2017 9:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Trafodion master rh6 Daily Test Result - 177 - Still Failing am looking into this issue. anoop -----Original Message----- From: Selva Govindarajan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 30, 2017 4:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Trafodion master rh6 Daily Test Result - 177 - Still Failing I also encountered the "drop table t014b cascade in charsets regressions tests" hang while testing in my workspace. The drop table is hanging due to corrupted query cache. The change for [TRAFODION-2722] removed the following lines, but removing these lines is the right thing to do. Otherwise, the query cache was getting emptied with every ddl. arkcmp/CmpStatement.cpp - // TEMPTEMP. - // Until support for metadata invalidation is in, clear up query cache for - // this process. That way statements issued later from this session will - // not see stale definitions. - // This also helps in running tests where tables are modified and accessed from - // the same session. - // This does not solve the issue of stale definition seen by other processes, - // that will be fixed once we have metadata invalidation. - CURRENTQCACHE->makeEmpty(); It looks like the sequence of commands in charsets/TEST014 is exposing an obscure bug. Till such time, we find the resolution to this bug, it might be ok to disable charsets/TEST014. Ming, as a release manager can you please make a call on this, disable charsets/TEST014? PR is already open for it. 2. The DDL for the JDBC tests need to be fixed. This is being addresses. PR 1217 has an expected file change for the hive test failure too. The charsets tests began hanging (on master branch) starting with the Aug 19 build. Changes that day were: [TRAFODION-2709] getpwuid is not a Thread-safe function (commit: ba880338077efa5a1c6753ab5fe16888e98df1c9) [TRAFODION-2716] Query compilation gets stuck at listSnapshots() at (commit: eb4b4aaa584291fb8ff8588c423b8854897c9c2a) TRAFODION-2722 Change purgedata to use HBase truncate api (commit: a3669571d6df1d6b6aa2ae8b521dd662f2a910a7) Hopefully we can narrow this one down and get a fix for regressions. --Steve > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2017 6:28 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Trafodion master rh6 Daily Test Result - 177 - Still Failing > > Daily Automated Testing master rh6 > > Jenkins Job: https://jenkins.esgyn.com/job/Check-Daily-master-rh6/177/ > Archived Logs: http://traf-testlogs.esgyn.com/Daily-master/177 > Bld Downloads: http://traf-builds.esgyn.com > > Changes since previous daily build: > No changes > > > Test Job Results: > > FAILURE core-regress-charsets-cdh (2 hr 40 min) FAILURE > core-regress-charsets-hdp (2 hr 40 min) FAILURE core-regress-hive-cdh > (50 min) FAILURE core-regress-hive-hdp (1 hr 0 min) FAILURE > jdbc_test-cdh (47 min) FAILURE jdbc_test-hdp (51 min) SUCCESS > build-rh6-master-debug (34 min) SUCCESS build-rh6-master-release (46 > min) SUCCESS core-regress-compGeneral-cdh (1 hr 1 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-compGeneral-hdp (1 hr 10 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-core-cdh (54 min) SUCCESS core-regress-core-hdp (1 hr 27 > min) SUCCESS core-regress-executor-cdh (1 hr 35 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-executor-hdp (2 hr 15 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-fullstack2-cdh (20 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-fullstack2-hdp (27 min) SUCCESS core-regress-privs1-cdh > (1 hr 8 min) SUCCESS core-regress-privs1-hdp (1 hr 15 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-privs2-cdh (58 min) SUCCESS core-regress-privs2-hdp (1 hr > 38 min) SUCCESS core-regress-qat-cdh (29 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-qat-hdp (23 min) SUCCESS core-regress-seabase-cdh (1 hr > 30 min) SUCCESS core-regress-seabase-hdp (2 hr 8 min) SUCCESS > core-regress-udr-cdh (25 min) SUCCESS core-regress-udr-hdp (34 min) > SUCCESS phoenix_part1_T2-cdh (1 hr 5 min) SUCCESS phoenix_part1_T2-hdp > (1 hr 27 min) SUCCESS phoenix_part1_T4-cdh (1 hr 13 min) SUCCESS > phoenix_part1_T4-hdp (1 hr 20 min) SUCCESS phoenix_part2_T2-cdh (1 hr > 1 min) SUCCESS phoenix_part2_T2-hdp (1 hr 36 min) SUCCESS > phoenix_part2_T4-cdh (1 hr 14 min) SUCCESS phoenix_part2_T4-hdp (1 hr > 32 min) SUCCESS pyodbc_test-cdh (23 min) SUCCESS pyodbc_test-hdp (13 > min)
