Just another data point but I'm a native English speaker (California, USA) and "trainings" sounds totally normal, and I've heard it a lot where I work. Like "I have to do all these mandatory corporate trainings" to refer to the many 10-30 minute fully packaged automated trainings. It is something like the status of "waters", which emphasizes "a water" which is probably an individually packaged bottle or something. You would say "I have to do a lot of training" except to emphasize their separateness. I also prefer "training session" and "training material" because of the strong connotation of what "trainings" are.
