Jörn Kottmann commented on UIMA-2140:
-------------------------------------
I tried to also use full type names in the Annotation Style view, but they need
a lot of more space to be displayed. Since I did not had a strong need for them
I just continued to use short names.
The proposed name space tree structure could be a good way to safe space.
In many other places the short names have already been replaced with full names
since the 2.3.1 release.
> Annotations Styles view problematic when short type name exists in multiple

> The "Annotation Styles" view only shows simple names (no package
> information). This can be quite confusing and annoying when two or more types
> with the same simple name exists in multiple packages.
> A flattened package view like in the Package Explorer may be convenient.
> The problem applies to other views using only short names as well.
