I should also point out that I believe the source you are using is not a 
canonical source:

https://github.com/apache/uima-build/releases

As far as I know, the releases listed there are automatically created by GitHub 
based on information contained in the commit history. In that case, I would not 
consider them official release artifacts. The Apache UIMA team actually does 
not maintain their source code in this repository. It is a clone of our 
subversion repository.

Our official releases are available here:

https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/uima/
