Richard Eckart de Castilho commented on UIMA-6228:
--------------------------------------------------

Ok, so we have stuff in the staging / dist repos...

* https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/uima
* https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/uima

>From the [Release
>Policy|http://www.apache.org/legal/release-policy.html#when-to-archive]
>document, I take it that only the latter is relevant for archiving and we can
>just keep release candidates accumulating in the former.

We didn't hear back anything related to UIMA-AS and UIMA-DUCC, so I'll proceed
and remove older versions here from the dist/release folder, in particular:

* UIMA-AS 2.4.2
* UIMA-AS 2.6.0
* UIMA-AS 2.8.1
* UIMA-AS 2.9.0
* UIMA-AS 2.10.2
* UIMA-DUCC 1.0.0
* UIMA-DUCC 1.1.0
* UIMA-DUCC 2.0.0
* UIMA-DUCC 2.0.1
* UIMA-DUCC 2.1.0
* UIMA-DUCC 2.2.0
* UIMA-DUCC 2.2.1
* UIMA-DUCC 2.2.2

Keeping only the latest releases of DUCC and AS

I'll also remove

* uimaFIT 3.0.0
* uimaj 3.1.0

Keeping only the latest releases of them for v2 and v3 respectively.
Additionally keeping uimaj 2.10.3 because it is a prereq for the latest UIMA-AS
release.

> To reduce the load on the ASF mirrors, projects are required to delete old
> releases [1]
> Please can you remove all non-current releases?
> It's unfair to expect the volunteer 3rd party mirrors to give up more disk
> space than is necessary.
> Thanks!
> Note: old releases can still be mentioned on the download page if the links
> are changed to point to the archive server.
