I have had the pleasure of using Usergrid for some years. We are still using Usergrid in production, but the lack of maintenance and features that probably never will be resolved means it will soon be history. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to help the development of Usergrid.
I really love Usergrid, and I think it is a great option for an "on premise"/"in house" BaaS.
