A little late to the (logging) party, and this may be a bit off-topic, but why bother using a Velocity-specific Logging facade when commons-logging was built for that purpose and it is already pluggable? Frederic Brier posted earlier in the summer about /removing/ commons-logging, so there's obviously some contention on how this all ought to be done. -chris
