With the initial redesign, we did already great efforts cleaning that up, but CollabNet reverted all our changes basically. Instead of merging the differences of old SourceCast version <-> new CEE version in the cleaned-up/in-use styles, they did use the default styles of the CEE version and changed the styles that it more or less looked like the page before the update. This screwed up fontsizes and other parts throughout that needed some time to sort out. > they > make styling our website messy. !important use should be considered a > hack, good for testing, and maybe resolving some browser quircks, not > something that we should be using for the styling the global website in > general. It is. Tell CollabNet... Their default styles are such a mess, it is hard to clean that up without having a staging server where it doesn't matter when suddenly all is mixed up until you dig up where something is inherited from a totally unrelated style... > If we have to work around these declarations with implementing the new > design, this includes only a cascade of more !important declarations... I agree - but cleaning it up on the life site is quite tricky.. ciao Christian -- NP: Korn - Fake --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
