Hi Kay,
I applied tigris.css and inst.css to my design locally and it was
horrible (but somewhat different what is there in the tryouts area
now). Then I removed the !important declarations (33 instances in
inst.css and 16 instances in tigris.css) in and most of the problems
went away - the exception being the <h2> positioner styling, the
footer, and the action statement font - minor stuff and it should be
relatively easy to fix.
You can see the results here:
www.patentpending.co.nz/openoffice/index-styles.html
which has the stylesheets (with !important declarations removed)
Ivan...this is an interesting result! and good! I think Maarten and
Christian and probably Louis would need to coordinate these kinds of
changes to the site "look" files.
One of the problems I was seeing with all the testing I did yesterday
was the order that the styles get incorporated INTO the new document.
I was getting this loading order--inst.css, syle.css, THEN tigris.css.
This frustrated me to no end.
Anyway, this test is very comforting, and maybe by adjusting the site
scripts on how these get loaded, we can make a LOT of progress toward
our goal.
