I think the new header would look really good with the forums. In
fact, how about making a custom phpBB 3 skin for the forums so they
integrate better with the new design?

Good point - additionally, the forums have their own search function
independent from the website so full integration could be a problem -
2 search boxes could be confusing. Or two logins. Maybe it would be
best to avoid the tabs in the forums.

Now that the 'wave' goes along into the menu, there is room for some
more menu items, but we don't want to confuse visitors with too many
options either. A sub-menu perhaps? So under 'support' we could have
the forum, wiki, etc?

Just a few thoughts.
