For now I'd suggest: Keep it within collabnet framework. Since there is a tab we should actually have a subdomain for news... but be can temporarily do it at e.g. www.openoffice.org/news
Just copy paste the table from the current website to this static website and maintain it like it has been maintained for the last x years.
