Hi,
Now at test.openoffice.org you can login, search and change language
using IE6. It is not as fancy as with the other, better browsers, but
functionally it is the same. Since no-one else has been working on it,
and we need to move forward, I believe this approach is good enough for now.
What is the solution?
Instead of presenting tabs, present links when browser = IE6. Instead of
being able to search directly from each page, or login in... or change
language in the near future, IE6 users will be directed to another page...
The current solution is just to make sure IE6 is not the show stopper, I
would have liked to fix the tabs for IE6.
IE6 market share is dropping anyway... (though still substantial, twice
as big as Firefox according to this source[1], IE 7 is more popular)
