Currently, mail from unsubsribed mail addresses to users@, duscus@ and

I propose to change that, so that unsubscribed posters receive an
automatic reply explaining about subscription and the main lists for
various purposes.
This unfortunately is not supported by CEE directly. One would set up
this locally. (i.e. have one user subscribed and let a script reply to the
original poster)
You mean that a non subscribed poster is automatically subscribed and
only has to reply on the return mail?
That could be useful, if the return mail contains some extra explanation.
What I suggested, was an automatic return mail only explaining one and
another, especially for non-subscribed posters.
Is that possible as well?
This can be done of course, but there is no switch in CEE that could be
flipped (at least not via the regular mailinglist-administration
interface)

I strongly believe that people seriously wanting to ask a question or
post an idea, will not at all be offended or discouraged by a friendly
mail explaining where to find support or how to subscribe to list x for
purpose y.
But... that's all IMO and what I believe.
What do others think?
As this is probably what some moderators do already (in addition to
approving the mail), I don't have any objections - I take it that this
is the consensus of the "regulars" on the above mentioned lists...
That is my idea as well. Thanks,
Cor
