Looking at the ML seems that this has not been the first time OpenID is brought up:
http://website.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=9924

I am not sure how to interprate Christian response if he did or didn't want OpenID. However there were some 'issues':
" The potential problems here are that there must be an agreement on the
basic framework to use between all involved parties first and that
everyone would than have to do some integration work to enable the
services which are there to use that and that some server site
infrastructure must be set up and maintained and that all this has to be
financed somehow too of course."

I respectfully disagree since not everything should be openid enabled, we can just have it for the most common sites, and eventually think on everything else. Specially things that we don't need to 'hard hack'. Sites that dont provide an __easy plugins__ like the PHP sites (drupal, phpbb, mediawiki). I dont think this is a requirement to host our own OpenID server either, i would preferably want to use the one provided by OpenID consortium.

I will put this apps on my test server and try these plugins and give my overal review of how well they work.

If anyone would like to have access to toy with this please send me an email so I can move it to a virtual server instead.

So I seen there are multiple sites to generate new accounts:
- Collabnet
- OOo Wiki
- QATrack
- SunVirtual - Pootle
- SunGloss
- OOo User Forums
- Extensions

There is also TCM

and also the next Template site
http://templates.services.openoffice.org/
and QASTe (I think it use your OOologin, but not sure)
http://quaste.services.openoffice.org/index.php
and also the Sun registration

Is there a way we can generate an OpenID service for all of these?

Very good idea :)

Kind regards
Sophie
