yeah...I got to thinking about this too. I'll add a bit of verbiage to
the style guide. It's frustrating for new contributors to be left in the
dark about these little tidbits.
Ivan has created a wiki page to write down all locations where CSS and
JS is used, started with the download pages. Maybe we should do the same
with the variables.
But in general it is impossible to document everything. OOo is a hugh
project and here and there something is missing. I think this is normal.
But of course the user should get help when asking or having problems.
