Hi,
there are only some few native language teams who released a language
pack. Language packs hosted on the extended mirror network (within the
directory ../extended/3.1.0rc2 are release candidates means someone
needs to do a release test scenario (quality assurance) before it can be
released. It is not planned to upload all language packs without testing.
Technically it is possible to include a redirect to the download page
into http://download.openoffice.org/languages.js but this would affect
all users who try to download with such language settings.
Kind regards, Joost

Hello again....
Well I think this whole issue on language packs, and the apparent
omission of some of them from the DL page and redirection, might be
relatively easy to explain. The language array used in generating the DL
versions DOES currently redirect users to some native-lang sites but
only, apparently some of the "Level 2" sites...see info at
http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html
I'm not sure why this is setup this way exactly. Mostly, this relies on
JS detection to supply the user language. It would be easy enough to add
ALL the native-lang abbreviations and redirects to this list, but I
guess I'm not sure at the moment, if these are legal language
abbreviations with respect to what would be identified by JS, and so we
would be back where we are now.
Does anyone have any insights into this?
