I like the idea of a modified logo every now and then (about one month?)
We have seasonal logos for Santa Claus and winter on the official logo
page:

I think one a month is a bit too much and would detract from the
specialness of when the seasonal logos appear. Every so often for a
special topic is great, though.
I saw in the Impress
template that there is a lovely OOoCon logo for Orvieto.
