Hi Clayton,

I'm taking care of answering on the webmasters@ list. There is usually
no mail concerning the wiki. When there is, I'll forward them to the
d...@documentation mailing list.
Is it possible/practical that I set the Wiki admin tools to send admin
messages to webmast...@oo? (this will hopefully only be thigns like
password reset requests, and contact from users with account setup
problems)
Currently, there is about 100 mails per week that need to be answered
(so not counting spam). If that adds more traffic, say 10 mails per day,
I won't be able to answer. I already have some difficulties to be
regular on it and I consider it not qualitative to do not answer those
requests in a good time frame. This is why Louis ask for some automation
on the mail answers.
The Wiki is currently configured to send messages to
[email protected]... and as far as I know this is an unmonitored email
address - any messages sent there are silently dropped. It may be the
case that there is nothing ever sent here, but I have no way of knowing
at this point.
And it's not good to provide a list that nobody watch and answer, imho.
If this part can be resolved, then I have one check box filled.
I'm not against the mail coming to the webmasters@ list, but may be
somebody to help would be good too :) Lets have a try, and if it's too
much, either find another solution or somebody to take care of them.
That still leaves the fact that we (people involved in OOoWiki admin and
general Wiki maintenance) are really misusing the Documentation mailing
list, cluttering it up with technical discussions about the Wiki. If no
new mailing list, I'm not sure how to manage that. Should that email
traffic be redirected to this mailing list?
As others, I'm not in favor of one more list, but if you think that this
cluttering is preventing contributors because of the technical
discussions, I'm all for a new list.
Kind regards
Sophie
