Reading the entire thread regarding WICKET-2846, shows that only one person is against this feature without even having a good reasoning. I don't think that this is enough to remove the feature from 1.4.9 release. I was the person who requested it and have a good use-case for it. Anyway, as many other people said before, there is absolutely no reason for worry.
