I've taken latest git pull today, of the repos xalan-java-mvn located
within your github profile jkesselm and have attempted a Maven build
on my local, and I've got following resulting jar files,

xalan\target\xalan-2.7.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

serializer\target\serializer-2.7.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

samples\target\samples-2.7.1-SNAPSHOT.jar

i.e, the XalanJ src code (along with samples) Maven build has worked.
Congratulations.
