Correcting a couple of typos, and improving wording in the 1st paragraph above:
In terms of JABX, WsGen only supports JAXB 2 generation. If you supported JAXB
1, java 1.5 requirement would't matter much, given retrotranslator features, as
mentioned in a related bug. However, since you don't support JAXB 1, people
can't use xfire in a schema-to-java environement w/ WebSphere 6 and other j2ee
1.4 app servers, which is a big hit given that most companies are not on JEE 5.
I would call this a do or die bug, and race to fix it. ;)
