Looks great, I think there are just few things left:
- rebased on latest master
- check that code conforms the [conventions from our style
guide](https://github.com/apache/zeppelin/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#code-convention)
@minahlee if we want to remove `maven release plugin`, could you also point
to the place that does automate the version switch in POM files (as AFAIK that
is the only purpose we used that plugin so far)
